Best Friends Forever!

This was taken at my brothers wedding.

I just love it.

They love each other.

They beg for each other when apart.

They stick up for each other at school.

They usually tell people....

This is my sister Tae.

or This is my sister Adi.

They are really cousins.

But only three months apart in age.

This picture totally shows their personalities.

Tae is demure and sweet,

Adi struts the cutest spunky little attitude.

They will look after each other forever.

Christmas was awesome! Our whole family came for breakfast.

The children were so excited and full of joy!

Christmas Cupcakes

This was a order I fulfilled.

Top left: Hummingbird cake(banana and pineapple)

with Cream Cheese Frosting Topped with Coconut.

Top right: Red Velvet Cake

with Peppermint Cream Cheese Frosting

and Peppermint sprinkles.

Middle: Boston Cream Cake

(vanilla cake filled with my Bavarian Cream Center)

White chocolate ganache frosting

with Christmas decor.

My Daughter Jennifer helped me (as usual).

We ripped christmas fabric and tied them around the containers.

Easiest Cheese Ball

1 cube cream cheese (softened)

1 cube butter(softened)

2 T Dry Ranch Dressing Mix

I use my mixer with paddle to blend everything together.

Cover and chill.

Take out of Ref. and mold into balls with hands.

Roll in either parsley flakes or chopped nuts.

Serve at room temp.

Rock of Love Charm School.

But I will definitely be

My husband never gets bugged about things like this

dragging him home".

Good Point!

But it is pretty fun to watch!

Sunbeams

If you follow my blog you know that I teach the Sunbeam Class

at my Church.

These are the 3-4 yr olds.

Two of my own grand daughters are in my class.

The song leader asked Adi what song she would like

to sing?

She answered: "I kissed a girl".

YIKES!

She does sing this song. She knows most of the words.

You know kids just pick up on things you never imagine

that they are even listening to.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Here are a few Christmas Morning Recipes

that are a family tradition for us.

We have a BIG Breakfast/Brunch

then just piece all day.

Most everything you can make before hand,

so you can enjoy Christmas!

I hope you have a Merry Christmas and a Fabulous 2009!

Simple Fruit Salad (not a make ahead).

2 Bananas sliced

4 clementine oranges peeled and sectioned

4 apples sliced thin

2 cups grapes(any variety)

1 grapefruit peeled and sectioned

Add together in bowl.

Squeeze juice of 1 lemon over top.

Gently stir to coat.

You can drizzle a little honey and a dash of cinnamon.

Or you can mix in or dollop real whipping cream.

ENJOY!

My Mom's Cinnamon or Orange Rolls:

You can make this recipe Orange Rolls, Cinnamon Rolls, or cut down the

sugar for a light and fluffy Dinner Roll.

In a large bowl mix:

1 1/2 c lukewarm water

2/3 c sugar

1 1/2 T salt

Add:

1 heaping T. yeast and stir until dissolved.

Add:

2 eggs

2/3 c soft shortening (melted but not hot)

1 c lukewarm mashed potatoes

(instant is fine mixed with water only until right consistency)

Mix in 6-7 c unsifted flour and knead.

Add flour until you can knead it.

The stickier the better.

Cover and refrigerate for 2 hrs or overnight.

(will keep in refrigerator for up to 5 days).

Roll out on floured surface to a large oblong shape

About 1/4-1/2 inch thick.

Mix together and spread on top of dough:

1 c. sugar

2/3 c melted butter

Zest of 2-3 oranges.

If you want cinnamon rolls:

1 c sugar

2/3 c melted butter

2 T. ground cinnamon.

Roll up and pinch closed. Cut into 1" slices.

Place rolls on buttered pan.

Let rise until desired size. (pretty big).

Bake 375* for 10-15 min. until golden brown.

Frost when cool:

1 bag pwd sug.

1/2 c butter (soft)

1 cube cream cheese (soft)

1 t vanilla

canned milk until right consistency.

*zest of 1 orange(if making Orange Rolls)

You can freeze these rolls after cutting(before rising) on a cookie sheet

for 2 hrs. then transfer them into air tight bag.

Freeze until ready to rise.

BBQ Water Chestnuts

2 Cans Whole Water Chestnuts

1 Pkg. Pre-cooked Bacon

1 Bottle BBQ Sauce

Wrap each Chestnut with a Slice of Bacon

Put a toothpick threw to hold.

Set on cookie sheet.

Drizzle them with BBQ Sauce

Broil until Bacon is Crispy and Heated.

Serve

Little Smokies:

2 Pkgs. Little Smokies (sausage)

1 Small Jar Grape Jelly

1 Jar Chili Sauce

Mix ingredients together in Sauce Pan.

Simmer, Serve.

Christmas Morning Casserole.

Christmas Eve I try to make all I can so I can enjoy Christmas Day.

Christmas Morning Casserole:

10 Slices White Bread (remove crusts and cube)

1/4 Cup Melted Butter

1 lb. Sausage (browned and drained)

or

1 lb. Ham (shaved)

2 Cups Cheese (I use the Cheddar/Monterey Jack Mix)

8 Eggs(beaten)

2 Cups Half and Half

3 T Onion (finely chopped)

1 t. Dry Mustard

1 t. Tabasco

The evening before you want to cook this:

Pour butter into a deep casserole pan. (like 8x12x5deep).

Add bread, gently stir to coat with butter.

Sprinkle on Sausage or Ham and cheese spread out evenly.

Mix Eggs, Half and half, Onion, Mustard, Tabasco, Salt and Pepper,

pour over mixture in pan.

Cover and put in frig. over night.

Bake the next morning covered at 300 for 2 1/2 hrs or

until set in middle.

You can add or subtract meat, peppers, mushrooms, whatever.

Make it your own!

Christmas Eve Dinner?

We really have never had a set Christmas Eve Dinner Tradition!

We always have a big

Christmas Breakfast/Brunch on Christmas Day.

We always open 1 present, which is usually new pajamas.

And of course read the story of the birth of Jesus!

Pre-School Program: Christmas Doll's come alive!

Gabby really wanted to be involved in the Program with Tae and Adi! We Painted Gab's face like a doll too! Jr. and Gabby love each other! Gabby kept saying sit by me Joe.
